Plastic Q-PAC is a kind of packing suitable for large scrubbers, gas absorbers and gas cooling towers. Its low pressure drop (filling factor of 7 / ft) makes a new possibility for the design and upgrade of packed towers. Its flow structure uses drop tips and gas turbulence to create countless liquid droplets, which exponentially increases the gas-liquid contact area when it obstructs the flow of gas to a minimum. Its porosity is very high, up to 96.3%, and the spatial network structure in the same direction allows fine solid particles to pass smoothly without clogging. These advantages of scrubbing efficiency, gas passing ability and anti-clogging ability are unmatched by other packed towers.
