Polyhedral hollow balls are made of polypropylene (PP) plastic and formed into a sphere by two hemispheres. Each hemisphere has 8-12 hemi-sector blades according to the design requirements, and the two hemispheres are staggered with each other. It is characterized by a large specific surface area and a high porosity. However, due to the large number of blades, there is a shielding effect between each other, which is not conducive to the distribution and wetting of the liquid; most of the liquid collects in the hollow pillars of the sphere, preventing the flow of gas, so the resistance is large. This kind of tower packing is mostly used in waste gas treatment and water treatment projects.
